Super crisp/clean, worth the extra money

Written on May 23, 2021

I bought this after having owned the G2S for approximately 2yrs. I was so impressed with the G2S for the cost, I had to compare it to the SSA or Super Tricon(same trigger with a different trigger shoe), given that the pull weights are all the same. Could there really be that much difference in two, 4.5lb pull triggers from the same company, to justify the price difference? The answer to that is an unequivocal yes! The first difference I noticed was in the manufacturing of the parts themselves, there are many polished contact surfaces on the Super T that are absent from the G2S. There’s some truly clean and precise machine work on this trigger. Once installed I compared the trigger pull from the G2S to the Super T. As stated, the pull weights are the same, so the comparison comes down to subjective “feel”. The first thing you notice on a Geiselle trigger is the wall you come to after approx 2mm of travel. This wall is firm, and takes 2.0lbs of pull to reach. Once shelved on this wall, a 2.5lb pull is required to break your shot. It’s almost effortless, and so crisp when it does break. It’s as well extremely predictable, the consistency is great. The trigger shoe has a very natural feel due to the top half following the milspec curvature. The ribbing on the front provides a very grippy surface that mitigates any “slip” you’d experience due to the bottom half being flat. This flat bottom half as well had a side effect of reducing felt pull weight(and it absolutely does result in

Tall and Unique

Written on Apr 02, 2021

An amazing mount from Unity. The integrated iron sights, within the mount, are truly unique. They allow weights savings by not having to run flip ups. Though the sight radius is very short, they are more than enough for CQB. If you desire a longer radius, remove the “front post” within the mount and run a front flip up. The height is as well great. I don’t run nods(hopefully one day), I use it for running a plate carrier. It’s difficult to get your head down enough to get a good sight picture on a lower ⅓ co-witness mount, much less an absolute co-witness. The height of this mount allows a straight up neck/head position. No more grinding your chin into your front plate to get a good angle on your optic. Couple this with their 3x magnifier mount and you have something truly special. Unity is killing it with innovative products. I ended up picking up a 2nd one for my other rifle, I liked it that much. The height does take some training to get used to, but what doesn’t. Optics Planet had it out the door in no time, and at my doorstep in 2 days(during a mad scramble on arms/accessories). Two fantastic companies, I’d highly recommend both.
