I installed these on a Glock 17L to make a target pistol
I had A do a tremendous amount of filing of the dovetail to fit the Glock slide .
Lucky I have a Electric wet stone with a jig that I could clamp it in to get a even cut .
and even after that, it took quite a bit of pressure on my pusher to get it in with tons of oil . The front sight was a little undersized for the hole in the slide . So I use some locktight on the screw and made sure I lined it up with a straight edge before tightening it down.
So hopefully these sites are gonna work for me because it’s was a real pain.
Someone needs to check their measurements because
i just installed this company’s sights on my Ruger Mark IV and they went in pretty easily with a brass punch .
There is very few options out there for sights like this, and I really wish it was a little bit nicer to install took me a couple of hours of fitting, which is unreasonable .
But after all that mess, I’m pretty happy with the results
This is a fantastic product. built right out of the box…just add your favorite barrel (volquartsen) And you’re done. FYI, You do lose the quick takedown button. You use a Allen key with locking screw instead to engage the hook . to me, I don’t care if it takes a little longer to field strip . I’m used to the mark 3 anyway. It’s about the same amount of time to takedown. think i like the volquartsen trigger (hammer and sear) better. but i’ll give it some time to break in first.
love volquartsen..swapped out this and a gold trigger on my OD green scorpion . looks incredible and performs just the same. i also have 3 mark iv’s that have the black DLC they all perform great . have had much extraction or feeding problems. Some of those are probably because of cheap ammo . never with mini mag or stingers So far
first off do not buy the regular mk iv 22/45 bases. I did write a review on those. I suggest you read it. but, the Tomahawks are good except for one issue. there’s a hole molded into the base before you get to the locking pin hole .. so you have to stick a screwdriver through the magazine slide and lift the locking pin up a little to get them passed the 1st hole to get them seated completely, which is a little ridiculous . once installed they are great. fyi, The hook is meant For your left hand, not your right hand ( or not for your primary hand ) if you’re wondering why the hook is so far away when you hold the gun .
these come in pieces. you need to screw them together yourself. The ones I got when you put the screw in it doesn’t keep the seam tight on the opposite They are supposed to snap together. They don’t. ended up super gluing the opposite end of the screw to keep the seam tight . They should be preassembled or one piece from the factory to have some quality control . I’ll probably switch them out in the future to volquartsen
