If you're looking for a reliable, smooth, cam pin that protects your upper receiver and bolt... look no further. I coupled this with JP LMOS BCG, JP H2 SCS, and JP MK V muzzle brake on a 16.1" barrel making for one of the smoothest rifles I've ever shot.

JP Buffer Retainer

This buffer retainer sports a straight shaped edge to perfectly support the flat edge of the weighted buffer better than a rounded pin. Increased surface area is definitely a plus.
Well made BCG...

I had issues with bolt engagement on my BCM MCMR Upper w/Criterion .300BLK barrel. I switched to my VLTOR MUR/Geissele MK4 10" Federal Upper and it mated perfectly. It is pretty heavy. It is not as slick as a JP, or even a KAK BCG, for the $$ NP3 or DLC would've been expected but it doesn’thave any flaws. The bolt tolerances seem a bit loose in the carrier, but the gas rings are tight opposite from my JP BCG's. I swapped in a POF NP3 Roller Cam Pin, OCKS screws & V Seven Ti Firing Pin. I will test it and its cam path geometry before passing judgement but it's a solid choice vs LMT.

It's not going to make you a sharpshooter, but it will provide a repeatable placement for your support hand with a minimal footprint. Moved my C zone shots to A zone, so worth it for me.

Love the etched reticle, clear glass, easy adjustments, works on my 14.5" .300BLK for supers for max range and my 16" .223Wylde for its mid range. It's definitely a good option with Vortex and Primary Arms.

The brace stock you need

If you're looking for a stock for your AR pistol, this is as good as it gets for a rounded buffer tube. The SBA4 is the adjustable brace for the standard adjustable tubes.

If a lightweight AR-15 build is the objective and you need to retain a standard buffer like a VLTOR A5 setup, this is exactly what the doctor ordered. If you're using a captured spring setup, it isn't absolutely necessary at all, so you save more weight!
