NcSTAR Ceramic Level 4 Plate - Shooters Cut
Imagine my suprise. I bought a test plate because when your life's on the line nc star is not the name you think of. This plate held up. We didn't have black tip 3006 to test, but I sunk 5 5.45 7n6 in the same spot before it penitrated. it took 6.5, 7.72 and everything slower. The armor doeant spall, it disentigrates into -3/8" fragments that are contained in the plate for the most part. I'm dropping a star because the plate is very thick. it will not fit a lot of rigs. In terms of penetration these are legit. I don't expect you to believe me, so I encourage you to test them yourself. you will be suprised. I am running these in a backup rig. I really wish they could drop the thickness by 1/4 or so. I would love to buy more but they don't fit a jpc or an apc.

Choate Tool H&K Mp-5 Folding Stock
If you are building an mp5k clone I would highly reccomend this stock. This was really the only choice for me. This stock is rock solid when engaged. The folding mechanism has tight lockup to the receiver, and is a 2 pin installation. The polymer stock is very durable. The finish is like sandpaper on the polymer. I am not used to that finish, but its not necessarily bad. The swivel mount is perfectly located for a 1 point and can function with the stock folded or open. The only negative that I have found is that the mechanisim to hold the stock in the folded position is not a true lock like on a ump or vector. It relies on a ramp at the folding joint. I would have liked to see a stronger spring in the folding mechanism.
