I like everything about this scope. At this price point, the glass is excellent, ffp is unheard of, 4x zoom is pretty easy to come by these days. The mil-mil setup has an nice Christmas tree reticle. The only problem I have is that the eye box is REALLY picky even at low power. This makes the scope really slow, meaning that it takes measurable extra time to find the right spot to see through the scope. Also, the reticle is mostly useless as anything but crosshairs below about 10x, but that tends to be true of many ffp scopes. In the end, you can't get a better scope with these features at less than about 4 times the price, so I'm satisfied.

Fires the first round then jams. Have to remove the magazine to clear jam. The extractor drops the case before it contacts the ejector so the spent brass gets pulled pout of the chamber and just sits on top of the magazine. Tried to contact CMMG Tech Support. No response. RMA to optics planet. Optics planet was great.
Lollipop sights

My first night sights were TruGlo TFX and the are great. But I wanted something a little quicker so I bought these. The front sight picks up very fast day (orange) or night (tritium). The rear sight is a little hard to pick up both day and night. In the day, the index line is too thin to pick up quickly and at night, the rear tritium is a bit on the small side and not quite bright enough for me. Maybe they will grip on me, but at this point I still prefer the TFXs, but they're on my wife's gun now.

Hey, it's a gas tube.

Not much to say about a gas tube, right? This one, however, it's downright pretty. The melonite makes it disappear under the black handguard. The fit and finish is superb. It's a semi-gloss finish so it slides into place nicely.
