I am impressed with the quality of this scope. It's very solid and well built. It mounts easily. The view through the lenses is very crisp and clear. It has great light transmission and works well in low light. The reticle is crisp and the illumination is reliable and effective. Green is better during the day and red at night. I haven't had any issues with it other than one of the lens caps doesn't stay closed.
There are a few cons that have more to do with the nature of the scope. There is some fish eye at 1x. While it can be used up close it isn't as natural as a red dot. The lens coating can look foggy or grainy if the illumination is too high. But this is not an issue with normal use.
Is this a true combat optic? I think it is tough and could be used for that but there are obviously fancier and better optics if one is willing to spend more.
