It's perfect

Written on May 03, 2022

I just replaced my Burris P.E.P.R mount with this guy. I really had to drive my head down and my shoulders up to get behind the optic if I still wanted to have the stock securely in my shoulder with the P.E.P.R. which raises the optic 1.5". I wasnt sure that raising another 0.4" would make much difference but it does! MUCH more comfortable getting behind it now for some dryfire practice this evening. I have wanted a 1.93" mount for awhile now but I couldn't justify $200+ just to try it out. 5 stars because not only does this have no issues, its half the price of everything else. I have Warne vertical split rings on a bolt gun, and have had no complaints for years, so I am confident in their quality.

It's... meh...

Was looking for a quick cheap solution for a more vertical grip. This was so cheap I had to try it. The good news: it does attach to my Aero lower with the oversized trigger guard. The 15° vertical angle is exactly what I was looking for. The bad news: the fit and finish is... well... meh. It DOES FIT, but the front face doesn't overlap at all so you can see light between the grip itself and the back of the trigger guard if you look for it. There is also a place on the edge of the beavertail that looks as if it was folded over and never dealt with during the manufacturing process and magical.
The rubber stopper that plugs the base of the grip is already starting to deform and pull away from the base of the plastic. The feel is also a very cheap plastic feel. You can feel a quality difference in the plastic itself from something like a magpull. If you are wondering if the side panels are rubberized material,, they are not, and the texture is weak at best. The bottom line is that it WILL WORK if you're on a super tight budget... but when your lgs sells BCM's and Magpull MOE's for $25, you'll be much happier with them for $5 more in total. I will probably replace this with one of those. If you couldn't get a grip for (close to) the same price in different angles, I would recommend this, but when you can get a much nicer grip for near as makes no difference the same price, I will recommend those instead of this.
