I purchased the 10 shot magazine extension, which is a good fit for an 870 with a 26" barrel. It pokes out about 1/2" past the barrel. It actually holds 10 shells in the tube (standard 2 3/4 inch 12 gauge), so it's a 10+1 extension on my gun (vs the advertised 9+1). I used the included spring and follower. The barrel clamp seems to fit well.
