good quality but uncomfortable, and hard to unlatch or disconnect at times

Written on Nov 09, 2014

Construction is good, made very stiff. Sizing is spot on, problem,s I have with this belt is, the edge of belt that attaches with Velcro. The end of belt is cut at a sharp angle and has Velcro, the angled cut has been heated or melted to prevent fraying. It is kinda sharp, while working and walking, I have grazed it with my arm, and it can sometimes catch on loose clothing. Aside from that, the buckle is sometimes hard to unlatch, I understand that under tension it will not unlatch, but even after relieving it, it still is problematic. Also I am a skinny dude, and while wearing this with my comp tac inside the waist band minotaur holster and magazine pouch, it digs in and chafing occurs. The belt wears ALOT better if after putting on sliding the entire belt to one side with buckle next to first belt loop. Hard to explain this but the belt is thicker in spots, I believe that's what causes it.

good tactical slip on, but NOT good in restaurant kitchen.

Written on Nov 01, 2014

These are decent tactical slip on shoes/boots. Only problem I have with them is I work in a Kitchen, and bought because of oil and slip resistance description. Our kitchen has a non slip coated ceramic tile floor, but at night while cleaning and using hose, I need a pair of slip resistant work shoes. The boots are comfortable wearing for extended time,(12 hours straight, and always standing, walking, quick, fast movements). Quality is good It has been around 6 months, and no serious wear issues. A little wear around the elastic, but is expected. These would have gotten 5 stars only if they actually were oil resistant, on slick ceramic kitchen tile floors. If your not going to be on slippy, tile flooring, you will be good. I also tried scoring the bottom of tread with a knife, this is done to help with traction on restaurant kitchen floors. The scoring or light cuts across tread with knife, may have increased the slip resistance by a small amount, but they are still no where close to a kitchen clog type work shoe. These will be my slip on tactical shoe to take to outdoor gun range, and have by bedside for emergency shoe.
