VISM on palmetto PA-10 modified

Review for
VISM M-LOK Handguard, for AR-15/M4
This will fit on the palmetto PA-10 .308 (mid length with A2 front sight post) with modification. The rear clamping lugs that screw together do not have enough clearance to fit around the fat .308 barrel chamber. You need to file off about .10" on the left and right lugs for clearance. This still leaves enough meat on the lugs for the bolt to thread in. Front lugs needs no modification, plenty of clearance for the barrel near the sight block and the handguard fits snuggly around the triangle hanguard retaining cap. Also the little picatinny tab that goes over the delta ring needs to be filed down on the ramp section so the top handguard half can clamp flush with the bottom part of the hand guard.

Choate +1 320 20 gauge
Written on Feb 12, 2025
Installed this on my Stevens 320 in 20 gauge (new version made after 2019). I did have to drill out the dimples on the end of the existing tube. The barrel collar covers the holes in the magazine tube so no big deal. The +1 aligns great with the 18.5" barrel. The screw on the barrel clamp extends a little too far but nothing a hacksaw can't fix.

Wilson mainspring housing (compact)

Wilson Combat Mainspring Housing
Dropped right in to my .45 colt defender. Looks and feels way better than the plastic housing that came with it. Thanks Wilson for always putting out quality products, and shame on you Colt for the use of plastic on an all metal gun LOL.

Micro Comp on Beretta 92x compact
Written on Feb 23, 2020
Review for
Griffin Armament Micro Carry Comp 1/2x28
The Griffin Micro Carry Comp was just what I was looking for. I previously ordered the Samson pocket shield comp which looked really cool on my Beretta 92x compact, but I could not get it to function reliably even after purchasing a Wolff 12lb reduced recoil spring (factory weight is 14lbs). Screwed the Griffin comp on and my 92x compact was back to it's flawless self with the factory spring. I use 147 grain 9mm HP's and FMJ's and both ran perfect. This comp is light weight, low profile and works without having to modify anything (holster included). Recoil reduction is noticeable. The comp also accentuates the classic Beretta "barrel sticking out the end of the slide look" for cool points.
