They work, and manual deployment helps keep cost down. They mount to the rail solid. Although when up they have some play when touched/pushed to the rearward position. I got them for a budget AR build, so for that they are fine. I trust the aluminum more than other polymer ones out there. In all fairly happy with them. Just be aware the windage knob can be bumped and knock you off zero easily. (Not much force needed to rotate it) But if you are OK with fixed iron sights I'd spend the $50 more for the Daniel Defense ones. Or $100 more for troy flip ups. But if your budget is tight, these are fine.
