TacFire 5.56 NATO Complete Upper Assembly
I bought this upper as more of a joke to show my friends. I changed the muzzle device to a Troy claymore to get the flash away from my hands. I was surprised how well it ran. I didn’t put a lot of rounds through it, but I did put one mag through it in FRT mode… no hiccups at all. Ran great! I didn’t much care for the hand guard so I may change it out in the future. For the price, if you’re looking for a 5” AR-15 upper… mine was great.

I bought this barrel to build a semi precision upper for regular use. The fit and finish on this barrel was really good. Delivery was way faster than I expected and packaging was good.
After assembling the upper with quality parts from BCM, SOLGW, and Daniel Defense we headed to the range. After getting it zeroed with a 2-12x scope at 100yds with 77gr AAC ammo he was had two groups one was .766in and .575in. I do believe we probably could get better groups with better glass and match ammo, but he was very happy with how the upper turned out.

Best bang for the buck if your building a MK18 clone. I wish the bottom rail was longer, but the fit and finish is great. And it’s less then half the cost of a DD RIS handguard. The mount up was solid. The clamp screws and lock shim tightened up very nicely. I will totally buy Midwest Industries handguard again. They are quality at a fair price.
