Self admitted BCM furniture fan boy. Big fan of the M-lok version so it was a no brainer when I built something with a quad rail. I like how it fits so flush to the pic rail and reduces the amount of my hand getting sliced up on the sharp rails. When I C-clamp the rail it feels just right. Install was a little more fun than the M-lok, but I got it sorted out.
I am normally a M-Lok fan boy, but wanted to build something a little different. In walks this stout beauty, making me forget my M-Lok allegiance. She is ticking off all the boxes, feels like I am dreaming. Once installed I realize I am not dreaming.

Once I start meaningfully handling her I realize I either have to glove up or add pic rail cover/ladders. She has some bite, she is a quad rail after all. Still seggsy as heck and look forward to some new calluses.
Yes, that dog will hunt! Yes they are expensive. The rubber texture DD incorporates into the hardware flat works.
Grip angle works for me.
Stock is segsy as heck. I do wish it had a lock down lever like my favorite stock (Rogers Super), every stock should have one due to the variances in “mil spec” buffer tubes.
I don’t have enough hands on time with the vertical grip to sing any praises at this time. I do very much like the m-lok version due to it being functionally similar to my go to BCM grip. I do look forward to testing the storage capability of the grip.
Good option if you want a good set of double Ds in your hands.
Seemed to be reasonably priced for what is purely an aesthetic purchase. I didn’t need them, but I wanted the mag plate to match the grip. Some of us are slaves to that kind of behavior. Removal of old plate and install of new plate was easy. No change in performance.
Aesthetically you won’t find a sweeter looking set l. I love the contours, curves and hand feel. I abso-freaking-lutely love the rubber ribbing insert sections so your mitts don’t slip when things go hot. When you break the numbers down, you are paying excessively for the buttstock, Double Ds or not. Grip and vertical grip are closer to reasonable, but still high. Caution: might make you possessive - you may find yourself telling your buddies to go pound sand when they ask to try it out really quick. You won’t want anyone else handling those DDs.
Charging handle looks good, has good purchase in the mitts and feels robust like I could use it like a hammer to hang all my wife’s pictures and decorations in the house and not miss a beat. Only purchased to finish off a DD build. I, in good conscience, could not recommend someone spend $100 for a CH.
Bought the Tungsten and FDE colors. The FDE fits perfect but the Tungsten holes are off significantly. Like the plate was backwards when they drilled the holes.
It is a castle nut, but in the color blue. Complements my tan and blue build so I added it. It fits and I appreciate that. I just wanted to see a blue castle nut.
