Good value scope

Review for
Sightron G2 S1 Series 4-12x40mm 1in Tube Rifle Scope w/ Adjustable Objective, Second Focal Plane
Sightron makes a good scope for the price. The glass is clear with little edge distortion. The adjustable objective is great for a 22 LR. I previously bought a Burris Fulfield scope for this rifle and was disappointed with the clarity and color reproduction. The S1 is an upgrade in the same price class. Keep in mind that this Sightron is not a $500+ scope, so don’t expect that.

Nice quality jags
Written on Sep 03, 2016
I needed some handgun jags and found these. They're simple jags and seem to be well made. The price at OpticsPlanet were good. They were back ordered and took a while to show up, but I got them in the end.

Review for
GrovTec US Keymod Forearm Stud Adaptor
This is a simple sling swivel stud adapter for KeyMod forends. It works like a traditional stock forend sling swivel. It's simple and solid. The finish quality is good. I have it on a 10-lb Molot Vepr and it plain works.

Quality mount

Review for
Weaver SPR 30mm Optics Mount
This is a quality mount for the money. It is nicely machined and the thumb nuts work great. There are lock nuts installed with the thumb nuts that can be used in 3 different configuration. Also this model is made in the USA!

The Leupold base your dad and grandfather used

Review for
Leupold STD 1PC 1-Piece Bases
This is the same quality 1-piece base that Leupold has been making forever. It's machined steel. With Leupold Standard Low-height rings, you can have a very low mounted optic. About the only thing I would change is the length extended to catch the rear-most receiver screw. The base I bought for a Winchester 70 only attaches with 3 of the receiver-mounting holes.

First FX-3 rifle scope
Written on Dec 18, 2015
I have numerous VX-3 scopes, but this is my first FX-3. I was going for a vintage Winchester 70 rifle, but wanted modern optics. This scope has the great optics I am used to with the VX-3 line. I really like the simplicity of not have a power ring to worry about when hunting. 6x is a good compromise for long range deer hunting on the northern plains.

Nice AR optics mount
Written on Dec 18, 2015
I have 8 DNZ scope mounts for various flavors of rifles. They are lightweight and strong. The machining quality and anodizing is top notch. The price is very reasonable and they're made in the USA.

Nice AR scope
Written on Dec 18, 2015
I bought this scope for a new AR. It's a nice compromise for close targets and reasonably far targets. It's certainly a nice match for .223 Rem unless you're shooting gophers or prairie dogs at 300 yards. It's a VX-3, so the optics are nice and clear with good eye relief. Leupold does a nice job keeping the weight down. The rifle with optics weighs a little over 7 lbs. I chose this scope over the VX-3 1.5-5x20 because I figure the low light performance would be a little better due to the larger objective.
