Fit was perfect; no need to use the two Allen screws that are included. Heavy compared to flimsy versions. Locks solidly.

Placed this on a Savage 24 .222 over 20 gauge. The 1 magnification is perfect for the shotgun barrel use and changes to 6 power quickly for use with the rifle barrel. Very clear optics.

Superior Craftsmanship

The bolt I had been using functioned but showed signs of deformation along the bottom as a result of hammer "bounce". This indicates problems elsewhere, but the fact that old bolt was soft enough to record these impacts indicates the bolt was too soft. The Stern Defense version is a daylight/dark difference. The machining and surface finish is superb. Function is 100%.
