Stiffer than SBA3
Written on Dec 29, 2024
Stiffer than SBA3. Balances a suppressed build better as it adds a little weight rearward. The QD point is also more accessible than the SBA3, but I wish it were further back.

Works Great
Written on Sep 14, 2023
The Good: It pushes your light forward effectively, and out a ways, reducing/eliminating suppressor and muzzle shadow, especially on my rifle with a 16" barrel but only a 13.5" handguard. It is aluminum and sturdy. Looks nice. Mine came with pre-applied locktite on the screw threads.
The Bad: Not as much drip as an Arisaka.

Great Except for Max Zoom Issue
Written on Jun 12, 2023
I love this scope. The turrets are great, the glass is good, the reticle is clear, "Off" is every other illumination setting, and more. One thing I don't like is the location of the illumination cap, although most scope mounts will work just fine. Just measure beforehand. On max zoom, however, the bottom of the reticle goes out of the eye box, so I guess I'll have to go back to irons to make my 710 yard hits with my 22lr.

Easy to clean, Coyote matches Aero's FDE
Written on May 31, 2023
Review for
WMD Guns M16/AR-15 Full Auto Bolt Carrier Group (BCG) - NiB-X Nickel Boron w/ Ceramic TopCoat
I only have 100 rounds through mine, but so far so good. It is very easy to clean and feels more slippery than a normal milspec bcg. My only gripe is I was hoping the coyote brown bcg would be different than Aero's FDE to get a "50 Shades of FDE" effect, yet they match almost perfectly. Not either company's fault, obviously, but if you have an FDE Aero upper and want a slightly different color bcg, get the FDE WMD bcg.

Great Riser, Installed Backwards
Written on May 31, 2023
Review for
Magpul CTR/MOE Stock Cheek Riser
This riser is great for my optic setup. It will interfere with the charging handle unless you like a longer length of pull and/or install it backwards like I did. I think it looks better backwards anyway. It fits the CTR/MOE slots super tightly. Once installed, it is a bit difficult to remove (a good thing), but a flathead screwdriver does the trick. If you have a shorter length of pull, you could cut it in half and only use two of the four locking tabs. It would fit securely. This would make an effective riser the size of a LaRue or GBRS at less than half the cost, but also without the drip.
