Excellent charging handle

This charging handle came with my DSI DS-15 TYPHOON 300 Blackout complete upper receiver (DSI-UC5-TYP-T3-BLK) and the Chinook CH has functioned perfectly and I like it just as much as my Radian charging handles. Not sure what happened to the first guys CH but after sevral hundred rounds there's not a single scratch or wear mark on it but I keep all of my charging handles oiled with lucas gun oil. Honestly I wouldn't have bought one before getting it with my upper but I would definitely consider buying another when building another AR.

DSI is a local company to me but when this went on sale thru optics planet I decided to pick it up and give it a chance. I mounted it on one of my dsi lowers which was a perfect fit and it's really such a nice shooting rifle when paired with superlative arms adjustable gas block, Jp enterprises silent captured spring buffers and Jp variable mass bolt carrier, for optic I went with Aimpoint PRO and aimpoint magnifier. I've tried a few different types of ammo and it shoots everything I've thrown at it without any issues.

Living in NY we only have so many options when it comes to lower receivers and since we can't order anything out of state online I decided to try out Dark Storm Industries who are a local gun manufacturer but I ran into a problem with my two billet ar lowers, the majority of bolt catchs wouldn't work or fit properly with the exception of the phase5 which fit perfectly so I also added one to my ar10. I had the bad lever on another ar and liked it but it felt cheap so when I tried this it was night and day. I don't mind it going thru my trigger guard at all and I've used gloves the last two range days but I'll update if it becomes a problem.

Buyer Beware, It looks great but when I went to Install the handguard it was too big for my AR-15 but looks like it will fit my AR10 perfectly so it's not a total loss. I'd still like to order one for my AR-15 if possible though. I ordered in Aug 2024, recieved in late OCT 2024 which wasn't a big deal but now there's a 6 month wait.
