Comfortable, good looking and great fitting safety glasses
Written on Oct 13, 2018
When working in the garage, around the house or in the yard my safety glasses usually get tossed around and scratched therefore I prefer to buy really inexpensive ones. I decided to give these a try even though they cost a bit more than the cheap "disposable" safety glasses I'm used to. When I tried these on I knew immediately that they would not be subjected to the same treatment. They fit great and I like the way they look! I work in a dental office and utilize these when I'm not wearing my loupes and while cleaning. Yes I will continue buying cheap disposable safety glasses but glad I decided to spend a little more for a pair of these. My only regret is not buying two pairs.

Great for catfish
Written on Oct 13, 2018
Received these in good condition. The hooks are strong, sharp and can be reused many times. Sometimes when I buy treble hooks and possibly these too, the packaging states lure replacement hooks but I use them to hold dough bait for catfish. Not much else to say, sure there are more expensive treble hooks which I have also bought but these seem to work fine for stocker channel cats. Gave them 5 stars since they work as expected, are reasonably priced and have never had one fail.

Would buy again!

My girlfriend wanted to surprise me with a Vortex scope last Christmas. She was in my opinion mislead by a couple of guys who worked at a large national outfitter chain into buying a Scout scope. I was totally stoked to see the Vortex logo when I peeled back the gift wrap but my facial expression must have changed when I read "Scout" because she immediately asked "Whats wrong?". I'm thinking; I don't have a scout rifle. I explained how much I love the gift but how it is a very application specific type of scope. Perfect excuse to build a scout inspired rifle!
I decided to try to mount it to an RAS47 with an Ultimak AK scout rail. (I know an AK isn't traditional, typical or even ideal for a scout rifle) At first, I utilized a similar set of rings from Warne which are excellent however a bit too low and wouldn't allow the magnification/quick focus ring to be adjusted due to the ridges catching on the picatinny rail. After some research it seemed these rings from Burris might work. They did! It was a bit challenging but with some finesse I was able to mount it with just enough clearance to allow the magnification/quick focus ring to turn while still maintaining a low forward scout appearance. The ability to reposition the quick detach levers was essential and worked as expected.
I have not yet evaluated if they hold zero but due to my experience with Burris products in the past I am confident they will. The machining looks great and the price is reasonable. I would buy these q

Fits Tristar Viper and Hatfield Semiauto
Written on Oct 08, 2018
This fit the Tristar Viper and Hatfield Semiauto 20 gauge which utilize Beretta/Benelli mobilchokes and can be hard to find. Both shotguns came with 3 chokes none of which I believe are rated for steel. Haven't used it yet but it fit perfectly and the machining looks great. As with other Carlson's choke tubes I've bought they're Made in the USA!
