Nice rings with very good design, but too expensive

Review for
Burris XTR Signature 34mm Rifle Scope Rings
They do what the Signature series of Burris rings do; they allow a tremendous amount of adjustment using inserts that greatly increase the number of applications they can be used in, particularly for long range target work. At $145 a set, they should be bringing me a drink and shooting the rifle by themselves.

Don't care for 34mm tubes, but otherwise....
Written on Feb 14, 2024
I don't care for 34mm tube scopes. Frankly, don't even like 30mm tubes. I think they simply ruin the looks of a fine fire arm and provide relatively little real gain in terms of performance. Having said that, I own Nikon Monarchs, high end Weavers, high end Bushnell, Leupolds, Sightrons and many Burris offerings, and particularly for the price point, this scope is easily the equal of, if not superior to, even the most expensive of these listed. It would be nice if there was a wider variety of reticles to choose from, but in terms of optical performance, it is top flight. Clarity is outstanding throughout the entire adjustment range, color and image is sharp, adjustments repeat like clockwork. This one is worth the money.
