I was initially wary because of the negative experience I had similar concept products from competitors (100 Concepts lol). This not only fits over my 509T, it stays on yet easy to remove when I choose to remove it. Haven't used the front lens guard yet. The only downside so far is that it can cause a hang up in my Safariland 7378 RDS holster when reholstering unless I get it at the right angle. Not a problem with other holsters that don't cover the optic and it does force me to angle my gun better when reholstering. Overall, an excellent and cheap extra layer of protection for my 509T.

I ordered the FN 509/Surefail X-300U compatible version for my buddy who also happens to be my Doctor and roommate. I personally hate FN handguns and SF in general but since he still likes that combo and has been wanting a duty grade holster for a while so I helped him out. The 6000 series despite its bulk and age is still overall better made than the 7000 series so positive lockup, optic hood has a nice snap every time its closed back up.

I normally carry either my Gen 3 G19 or Gen 5 MOS with Holosun 509T IWB appendix in the summer. Winter time as I am always wearing a jacket I can carry the same Glocks OWB in a Safariland GLS paddle holster. Since I work nightshifts I want a light on my carry gun, so this holster looks perfect for my uses. So far great, just hoping the optic hood doesn't loosen up and start flopping around like my older 7360RDS did while walking around. That is one downside of the 7000 series, as though the 6000 series is much bulkier, the optic hood on them stays tight and they are overall more durable in the long run in my experience.
