I’ve had this optic for 8 months. A couple of months ago it went dead. I replaced the battery and it came back perfect. I assumed it was just due to a cheap battery. Now here, a couple of months later, it’s dead again. I noticed it was dimmer than I thought, hit the brightness button and it shut off completely.
