Mounted on my 20" heavy barrel flat top Bushmaster 5.56mm 1/9 twist with an adjustable low profile gas block. The Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x44 Rifle Scope was saddled in a Monstrum Ultra Series Precision Offset Picatinny Scope Mount. Picatinny nuts were torqued to 30 in/lb. and the saddle screws were cross torqued to 18 in/lb. Using the now popular 36-yard zero I was initially 1" high and 2" right. A quick adjustment and I was punching the "X" ring out of the 50 yard target (set at 36 yrds) with a single ragged hole. Moving to the 100 yard range my group opened to 1" and was just 3.2" high. PERFECT according to ballistics charts. The scope performed flawlessly and was more than I had expected. Image was clear with no detectable distortion from edge to edge at all magnifications. My only concern was the small "eye box" at higher magnifications. This was the best my Bushmaster had ever shot and I am a happy camper.
