Good optic, bad footprint pattern

The optic itself is great. There are very few US assembled enclosed optics so I can appreciate this as an option.
I tried mounting it on my G19 which has a DPP cut on it. The 4 recoil lugs were .1-.2 mm too large for the recesses in the optic. I thought maybe the machine shop that cut my slide cut it out of spec despite the fact it had been wearing a Leupold DPP for 3 years but this wasn't the case. I also tried the Sig dot on a LTT Beretta plate for the DPP and had the same issue.
I called Sig customer support and they said that the solution is to file some material off of the lugs until the optic fits (....).
My cut now looks like hotdog buns but it's covered by the optic and I will prob never have to take it off but just beware if you're planning to mount this on something other than a P320 with the Pro cut.
