has so much potential, but fails IMO

Review for
Warne Skyline ARCA Lite Bipod
This bypod has so much potential, it is made in usa, all metal, I like the quick deploy feature, it does have some slop like most bipods but it is very much acceptable, i wanted to love it so much.
But the cant lock is awful, you can crank down on it to lock the bipod with friction, but the smooth surfaces wont actually lock together, if you bump the rifle, twist it while aiming, or put it down on the bipod a little too hard the rifle will cant to the side and it was just so annoying i got rid of the bipod.
If there were grooves machined into the bipod or something that way you can actually lock rather than relying on friction between two smooth surfaces this bipod would be a 10/10, but that one flaw ruined it for me.
I did take it all apart and cleaned it just in case there was any grease or something in the way and that didn't really help.
Maybe other examples people have are better but I just found any time I used my rifle even with the cant lock cranked, I'd end up canting the rifle snd was annoying

ACCU-TAC Br-4 G2 Arca Spec Qd Bipod
Got this to switch between my precision AR with an m-lok to arca rail, and my bolt action, hated sloppy bipods, this is solid, slow to deply, but fir a bench gun thats fine, has good adjustments and stability.
Got on sale!

Warne Skyline ARCA Lite Bipod
Bought it and didnt like the cant lock, no matter how hard i cranked on it, any bump or force would allow it to cant, and even if you didnt "bumb" it, there was still maybe 1° of slop in the cant lock.
Really bugs me.
Other than that, i think its am amazing bipod, just the cant sucks
Compared it to a grnd from MDT, and everything but the cant was better, mdt had a slight, but noticably more strong locking force on the cant.

too small for BCM MCR handguard (sanded it down)
Written on Mar 22, 2025
Good gas block, with my BCM handguard it was essentially touching the inside so I had to sand down a nice little chunk of the bottom, and take the set screws out and file them down as well.
Other than that, no issues.

requires a bit of modding, but works great.

Mounted on a bergara hmr wilderness (same as the pro and basic hmr), i removed both the sling studs in the gun, and the action bolt that holds the mag well in place, the arca rail uses 2 small screws to hold it to where the sling mounts were, then theres a long screw you must cut down (i forget how much) to fit inghe action.
I suggest you get a thread cutting die or a nut on the bolt and use it as a thread chaser for when you cut the bolt down to length that way you don't mess up the threads, the factory bergera action bolt barely has any thread contact, so I cut the new bolt to engage the threads more without hitting the locking lugs (look in the action's breach, you can see the threaded hole).
Other than that, this seems solid, looks cool, protects your stock, does the job.
Would be nice of they gave a bolt specific for the bergara hmr, would cost them like 50 centss per unit, if that.

wow, takes almost all the kick out of my rifle.

I have a Savage axis 6.5cm rifle and a new bergara hmr wilderness in 6.5.
The savage kicks hard, thats what i became used to, and expected every 6.5/ 308/ 30-06 to kick hard, until i got my bergara (its heavier so that reduces recoil some) but i installed this break before shooting, and now the bergara 6.5xm kicks like a .223/ 5.56 gun, you barely feel the recoil.
I tried doing my research to see which one's best, and I ended up settling with this one despite some of the pros swearing by other brands, either way, even if its not the "best" its still amazing how much recoil it reduces.
Plus i hear area 419 is a really good company.

seems well made, no complaints.

Came with 5x size 8 and 5x size 6 screws for any rem 700, and the bit for them, amde in PA, USA.
Wish it had that printed proudly on the side
Other than that, i have no complaints, seats on the receiver well, no sharp edges, even finish. Should work fine, and cheaper than other main brand options.

Got for a Precision AR build, put a B5 prs stock on it, no complaints.
Bcm is supposed to be pretty solid.

cheek piece is way too far back to use.

Review for
B5 Systems Short Collapsible Precision Stock
Idk about other people, but the adjustable cheek piece is so close to your shoulder, i cant even force my myself to have my cheeck on it, my cheek lands an inch or so infront of it, making it useless.
I have bolt actions where my face lands just right on the cheek piece, so idk.
Other than that, the stock has no slop on the buffer tubbe, seems well made.
Its a good stock, but I'd probably buy the magpul one of i had to do another AR build.
