I was looking for mags for my RA Go-Wild chambered in 6.5 CM. Ruger says the gun accepts "AI style magazines". Well. I own a couple AICS and MDT AI mags and none of them engaged exactly right. Sadly, I'm limited to using the Ruger factory mags. The good news is that it's an OEM fit and the mags work fine. They're a little pricey for what they are, but the peace of mind was worth it to me.

If you're looking for looking for mag options for the short action American rifles, this is the only good way to go to know for sure you're getting a reliable fit.

First things first, this is not a $2000 LVPO. Everyone knows that already. BUT, it's an outstanding product for feeling out the LVPO concept and it's FDE already so it saves me a step with a rattle can. I'm very picky about reticles, and a lot of people love the combat style reticles... I'm not a fan, but I can absolutely live with it and it's kinda useful for hunters who are taking game at point blank out to 100 yards. Second focal plane doesn't bother me either. Again, we're talking about an optic that most people are going to be shooting at 1x until they have a reason to zoom in... So most people are familiar with Vortex and the Strike Eagle line. It's a great budget optic for the backyard builder. There's not much else in the $300 range that's going to hang with it, maybe Athlon or one of the other Vortex clone companies. For the money, I'm not sure if anyone can do better. At 1/7th the price of a Military grade LVPO, I think the FDE OPMOD is a rock solid option that's not going away any time soon.
