I got a cheap pair at HD and they are OK. I got another pair on sale and they broke the same day I used them. The sound quality on these is much better than my first pair. They are light and don't weigh me down at all. They worked great at the range. My cheap pair is now back up or for shootin' buddies. I think this would be good for hunting. I am going to try it next time I go

Be careful transferring lenses. It seems like it would be easy to drop one in the dark. I haven't done so yet. This makes finding items in the viewfinder rather more difficult, but it certainly gives a larger image for a reasonable price

Take your time to learn and it should do well for you

I am still working with features. Align is not a one time procedure. Battery life is about two hours. I use rechargeables and ordered the AC adaptor. You'll need a power pack or something for country trips. Resolution is very nice. I haven't used my camera yet and I'm still learning to integrate the skyware software program. But I can get it on an object fairly quick with the finder unit. My 6" is about the limit of what I want to be carrying around from place to place.
