In general, Winchester is about the "cheapest" ammo I buy. So recently I got ahold of some CCI Blazer and one of these in 40cal. The smell it emitted reminds me of shooting off firecrackers as a kid. So its a very nasty, very unorthodox smell. I've never bought Wolf and havent shot them in probably 15 years, but thats the same kind of pungent smell I remember from Wolf steel handgun cartridges too. Also, each of the guns I fed this ammo to, retained the nasty smell when I opened the slide the next day. That suggests to me it left traces of that nasty sh** inside my guns. Typically I would break everything down and clean after 100-200 rounds, but this has me wondering if I shouldn't at least mop all the contact surfaces with something, even in the guns that only ate 15 or 20 rounds of this stuff!

That being said, I had no problems getting it to feed or fly right from my HK VP40 or my Sig P2022. The Glock 23 had no problems feeding but at 10 yards it was all over the place. So compared to the basic CCI Blazer, I can't recommend this stuff due to the smell and the cost. CCI is the same or cheaper and, so far, seems like a better value.
