Kowa 88mm Prominar Spotting Scope
Bright, sharp views edge to edge with the newer 25-60x zoom eyepiece. Light and easy to handle for 88mm objective. I don't see how anyone could be disappointed in actual field performance. Plus, friendly support from Kowa USA. I'd buy again in an instant.

Good Carry Case

Good case to carry/store scope. But not suited for use on the tripod. For that you need the Fitted Scope Case at about twice the price of the carry case. The fitted case has all the openings and closures that make it easy to use a scope on the tripod without ever removing the scope from the fitted case.
If you just want something to carry and store your scope and you don't care about brand names, you can get the Celestron carry case for Regal spotting scopes for about $30. That's forty dollars less than the Kowa case and it does the same job - but it doesn't say Kowa on the side!
