The genuine article

Written on Feb 27, 2017

Sig Sauer factory magazines work as advertised for a fair price. Unlike others, Sig magazines are easy to disassemble and clean which is very important me living in the desert. If there was an improvement to be made, I might suggest a different floor plate, a little thicker with a gripping area.

Truglo now one of the best

Written on Jul 09, 2015

I put A set of Truglo TFX on my Glock 42. These sights are high quality. The finish is smooth and looks like it will stand up to wear and tear very well. I like that Truglo makes a point of the fact they are impervious to cleaning fluids. By every measure they appear to be well made. They are a bit longer in length than most other sights but this is done to accommodate the fiber optic and the tritium capabilities. They are very low profile so they lend themselves well to a smaller concealment gun that might be carried in a pocket holster, etc. As to performance, the fiber optics glow brightly in the daylight and the tritiums glow bright in the dark just as advertised. The white ring around the front sight assists with front sight focus in less than perfect lighting. The front sight is easily installed on a Glock. Remember to use the supplied shorter, 4th Gen screw if you install these on a G-42,43. Otherwise the front sight will not tighten to the slide. I had to file some material from the bottom of the rear sight's dove tail to fit it properly. Just take your time removing metal slowly and evenly and checking fit frequently. It can be easy to over do it. You should not need a sledge hammer however to install it and only use a nylon punch with your hammer.
