So far I'm enjoying the Vortex Crossifre 2 6-18x44 AO scope. It is mounted to .223 Remington 700 Magpul Hunter setup. The scope and the rifle are both better than I am, i.e., if I were a better shooter I'm pretty sure I could consistently keep it under 1-inch MOA at 100 yds. I initially zero'd by removing the bolt and sighting down the barrel. That got me pretty close. I then sighted it in first at 50 and then 100 yds. Again, if I were a better shooter, I think I could have gotten some pretty good groups at 200 yds. As it was I was at least on paper at 200. In terms of useful distance, and given my not-so-great eyesight, I'd say 200 yards is about the limit of this scope. I would need an additional spotting scope to see holes in the paper much further out. The scope held zero well after about 40 rounds. In general the glass was clear out to at least 200 yards. I have no complaints.
I have a short action .223 Remington 700 mounted to a Magpul Hunter stock with the Magpul magwell kit installed. Currently, not even Magpul sells an AICS external box magazine in a .223/5.56 caliber (although they are supposed to be available summer 2021 sometime), so I'm not sure what other options are out there? Although these MDTs are a tad snug, they work well. No feed or jamming issues. You just have to make sure you give it a good pop on the bottom with the heel of your hand to make sure they are fully inserted. They also don't just drop out when you push the mag release button; you have to wiggle them out just a little. Some break-in may help, or perhaps a little smoothing and polishing. Overall, I'm happy with them.
This belt was about a third the price of more expensive belts. The quality seems good, and it is certainly a very stiff belt...which is what I was shopping for. Time will tell if the material holds up. It is a combination of bonded leather and synthetic materials. Other reviews suggest that they hold up well. My only complaint is that they only come in even sizes. I think the 32 I got may be a little small, but the next size up, a 34, would probably be too big. A 33 would have been perfect.
Designed for the Beretta 92A1, but fit my Girsan Regard MC perfect! It was a tad snug, so I followed the manufacturer's instructions to stretch it, and now it's just fine. It's nice stiff leather and will function much better than my Uncle Mike's nylon holster, which is kind of floppy. I've matched it to a DeSantis E25 econo belt, which was also a good choice.
The stock didn't come with instructions, but I went online and figured it out. I mounted it to a Mossberg Plinkster 715T and it fit just great. The material seems pretty tough, and the fit and finish are good.
