While I prefer the QD version of this for nearly everything, I went with these for a Scout type system because it makes the entire mounting area smooth and sleek, nothing too hang up outside the scope dimensions. I also knew that it really was the final resting place for that scope. After zeroing I’m going to have some small adjustments requiring disassembly, to narrow down eye relief (which changes with variable power), which would have been super convenient with QD version. Worth the nearly double price? Maybe. [;-/

I was trying to order the Tandem Cross baseplates, but they were getting automagically removed as “can’t be shipped to WA”. (I don’t know why) so even though these were twice as expensive I figured they would be removed also, but Noooo! “Order complete.” �. In spite of these being nearly the price of gold, they are really nice, I’ll keep them and put green springs under them (not the easiest thing to do) along with upgraded buttons and hopefully have some super reliable mags for my MK IV 22/45 Lite. I’d still like to try the others so may try again, the longer base is handy for positive seating.

After finding the first HiViz front sight too tall (but living with it) I thought I would try this and it allowed for a bullseye hold within the adjustable rear sight range. Of course I then put a spare RMR (“self illuminating”, never do that!) on top and it was spot on without any adjustment and works great in daylight where I will be using this pistol, so apparently that was its destiny after finding no good place for it in more than a decade. HA!
