Spend the extra 400 dollars

Written on Mar 20, 2026

I got this for my fiancé. The problem with this close combat optic / red dot and aimpoint comp m4 wannabe is that it does not compare to the durability of the CompM4 or even the Aimpoint Pro. Spend the extra money and get the pro.

If you're using this to shoot above 5.56mm, don't buy it.

Written on Mar 20, 2026

For some odd reason I got battery drain with this which is extremely odd. I shot twice with my 375 SOCOM DMR which is an 18in barrel which finally did it in after it draining and killing the batteries over and over again.

Amazing rifle. Wish I knew thread pitch.

Wish I knew the thread pitch. I'd strongly advise if you buy this that you get it suppressed and get a side folding stock adapter.

Will work for 375 SOCOM

Written on Nov 23, 2025

If you're a weirdo who buys from Southern Ballistic Research like me, this will take your. 375 SOCOM munitions as will it take 50 Beowulf, 458 SOCOM and various other big bore cartridges

Most miserable experience with an AR 15 platform.

Written on Nov 23, 2025

I'm glad I got to experience why AR-15s and shotguns don't mix. I got it on sale for 219 dollars so here's my problems. The gassing isn't right, not all .410 rounds are exactly 2 1/2 inches leading to magazine loading failures, the bolt group in this gun will shoot while on safe which is a nasty safety hazard, it comes to you undergassed so you will not be ejecting, extracting or feeding after each shot. This weapon looks cool but it's useless, likely as deadly as a SIG P320 / M17 and has been nothing but a headache.

Works with 375 SOCOM

Written on Oct 26, 2025

I've been having a lot of trouble finding a .375 SOCOM magazine and here we are. It feeds properly and doesn't prohibit cycling. Only problem with it is that it only holds 7 rounds of 458 or 375 SOCOM.

Extremely cheap materials

The two bolts that come with this set up tend to fall out when you're firing your weapon which makes your release essentially useless. When this happens you cannot lock your bolt to the rear even when the gun does it normally upon being empty. Stick with the MAGPUL Bad Lever.

I've never struggled with a charging handle like this before.

Written on Mar 19, 2025

This charging handle makes charging your rifle extremely hard compared to the standard issue charging handle. I'm left handed and it's weird operating this thing. I have a pristine rifle, I've applied CLP to even try to ease the process and the outcome is all the same. I essentially have to fight this charging handle to rack my rifle.

Pricing & Realiability

Compared to Daniel Defense this is a lot cheaper. Rails do the same thing and are usually made of the same materials and this is on par with my Daniel defense pic hand-guard yet surprisingly lives up to the name brand item but not for the name brand cost.
