If you purchase the Blackhawk Axiom stock then you must have the cheek piece adapter. It is necessary to lock in your sight window in returning to your scope. A great addition. Follow the instructions in installing it, don't be afraid to break it ,as it is very durable. Once it is locked in place it is there to stay.

I love this stock. It has replaced a wood stock on a 300 Weatherby. Not only has it reduced the weight of the gun but it has reduced the felt recoil down to that of a 243. The gun was already magnaported and was still not fun to shoot. No alteration needed to fit on a Weatherby Vanguard action.
