Truly an amazing quality product!!!

The first night vision I owned was the Sightmark Ghost Hunter 2x24, and I liked it being a newbie. But I quickly wanted better, but was hard to swallow the Gen 3's. Plus I wanted Thermal as well. Wow!!!! This thing is brilliant!! Not only is it about the only NV scope to be able to handle heavy recoil, it is amazingly clear, versatile {can be used day and night), the option for the up/down in brightness is awesome at dialing in a picture (this alone helps clear up images and IR reflection, also helps if you don't have hardcore/distance IR), only one dial to focus (Ghost Hunter is front and rear to focus in). Plus, if you are looking for NV for hunting, it comes with reticles. So if you want NV and gun site, instead of buying a cheaper NV and a Red Dot, messing with lining the 2 up, IR lights reflecting off your red dot, blah blah blah. Just buy this, you won't be disappointed. And if you have more than one gun to use it one, just keep track of the reticle zeroing in on each gun, and in less than a minute, you can have it zeroed in when changing guns, because it is digital.
Basically, I spent just a little over $2K, got Flir First Mate II (It's submersible compared to water proof, in Florida, a must) to find critters in grass/trees, then take the recognition and shot with this. I mean, come on, Gen 3 can't do that, and certainly not for under $2,500. And Gen 3 won't handle shotgun recoil, so you can keep it. Plus if you get Quick Disconnects for rail, you can easi

Sightmark Ghost Hunter Weaver Weapons Mount
I really like this product with the rifle mount. For the money paid, I don't think you can get much better of a product. I use it with a Red Dot, and the only issue I've run into is the Red Dot will reflect some of the IR and blur the vision. This was easily fixed by creating a shroud out of camo cloth that goes around the RD and continues to just past the lens on the NV. It creates almost a tunnel if you will, works great!! I also used a bit of clear coat spray paint to stiffen the cloth, and this also acts as another form of protection from rain and such for the components.
