Many people have been going and deciding lately to throw on a red dot on their pistol along with their iron sights. For the money this Vortex Viper is well worth it. I have another companys red dot on another pistol that cost me well over 2x this one. I was able to find a shop who now offer slides cut to accept the Vortex so of course I jumped on that opportunity. Plus Vortex has a lifetime warranty on their products which makes it sort of unbeatable to not use their product.

I have been waiting on the Vortex AMG holographic sight for many months. They are on international back order. So instead of waiting I decided to pick up the Spitfire in the meantime. Turns out this is a great little optic. I put this on an AR pistol and it works great. I like the dual illumination so you can have either green or red lit up. And also multiple brightness levels. Solid construction on it. And of course the no questions asked warranty is unbeatable.

Might just keep this on my pistol build and when the AMG becomes actually available put it on another build.

I needed a no frills easy to use light for my glock 17. this light works just fine for that. I think I will be moving it to my glock 19 and ordering a non compact APL for the 17 though. 200 lumens is perfect for use indoors for home protection as well. I have a much brighter light from another company and sometimes it just too bright.
There has been no issues with build quality or anything on that front either.

I ordered this kit to be able to work on my current rifles as well as clean them. Pricing on it is very good and over all looks like a pretty standard product. Should be good to use primarily the vise block to be able to put the complete rifle on to be able to clean and inspect.

If you need to second guess buying this red dot for any of your projects dont!!!! ESPECIALLY when optics planet has it on such a huge sale. I am putting this on a glock hand gun project which the slide is cut out specifically for this. Always a much easier way to get your sights on your target than traditional iron sights. I DO recommend also picking up the leupold rear iron sight that goes with the delta point pro AND some sort of Suppressor height front sight. I did the dawson performance front sight and need to order the leupold rear sight still then my setup will be complete and will work even if the red dot isnt turned on or in case of a failure/battery dies.

Let me start off by saying these are Trijicon so you already know they are awesome!!! After that I can tell you this... If you own any line of Springfield handguns replacing the factory sights are an absolute nightmare!!!!! I had some slide work and cerakote done to my 4" XD 9mm and decided to replace the factory sights with these. If you are not a very skilled gunsmith I suggest NOT attempting to install these yourself!!!!! Even with that said, my gunsmith took about an hour to install these. Now that they are on they are never coming off which is totally fine but they are not an easy install like if you were putting them on a glock. At the end of the day now that they are one I totally love them!!!!! very easy to use in the day or in low light situations!!!
