Good quality but didn't fit

Written on Sep 30, 2020

This is a quality made unit and I really wanted to use it but it didn't fit with an Aero Precision 6.5 CM upper with an Aero Precision BCG in NiB. It just wouldn't install into place. I had a no name ambi handle that worked fine so I don't think it is the Aero Precision products. I had to wait for other items to begin the build so I am past the 30 day return window for it. It's worth trying since it is a quality item but be prepared to return it if it doesn't fit your upper.

This does not include the mount, tripod, or any of the accessories listed in the description.

This is just the telescope tube. That's all you get. It has been almost 2 weeks since I informed OP and they still haven't fixed the description, although they did change the photo of the item. Since I can't use it I am returning it. I now suspect all OP descriptions of their products. I suppose a person could compare the UPC number OP lists against the manufacturer's information to be sure what is included in the item being sold.

Best Monocular around this pricepoint!

Written on Dec 03, 2016

Just received this today and I am well pleased. Mine focuses down to less than three feet, but your experience may vary depending on your eyesight. I could read the very small print on a prescription bottle at about five feet so the glass is clear and bright, especially for this price point. I didn't test the water resistance, but I went outside and looked at a microwave tower about a mile away on a hill, and it was easy to focus and observe it. At ten power its necessary to brace any optic to get a clear view, and it was easy to hold the BlackWave to accomplish that. The focus wheel is firm but quite easy to get into proper focus. Most of the travel is at the short end. The mono appears to have a wide depth of field at the long end. Backing off the focus wheel a quarter to one half turn brings about everything from fifty yards to several miles into clear view, but by fine tuning a little the focus can be improved noticeably. This unit would also be useful for observing insects while standing over them or next to a branch. At 25mm the objective is still bright enough to see clearly on a cloudy and dim day. I don't believe this mono can be beat for the price, and even if you spend several times more I don't know how it could be any better. It fits my hand well and I'm an average guy. The surface is grippy without being sticky. The case that comes with it is well made of medium weight material and appears to be sturdy. The belt loop is securely sewn on. At this price I'm going
