Batteries don't last....Save your money

I purchased 3 of these in 2018. I opened one and charged the batteries, installed batteries and left it set for a few months. When I went to use it the batteries were dead and would NOT recharge. Pretty expensive paperweight.

I've read the other reviews. Their biggest complaint is the quality. My spin? This set is made for the typical gun owner looking to do basic repairs, maintenance, and optics mounting. The straight bits are flat ground so as not to bugger up the typically shallow gun screws. At about $14 bucks how can you go wrong? The average gun owner doesn't want to spend $35-$80 on a screwdriver set. These are great to keep in your range bag or basic maintenance kit.

OK, granted the 800 lumens rating is a bit generous. With that said, where else can you get a quality light w/ rechargeable batteries for about $30? It's got six different modes (low, med, high, tactical flashing, and SOS flash), all controlled by the tail switch. It comes with a large clip and a lanyard. Packaging is top-notch. Not my 1st choice for a tactical flashlight (stick to the streamlights for your duty lights). Still, a great basic home light at a reasonable price. One suggestion, get a spare set of batteries and keep them swapped regularly.
