Dead Ringer Pro Deer Drag
It is the LITTLE things that make the hunt! Okay I have used bout every kind of critter drag system there is. I am too old now to drag wild hogs or bambi's exceedingly far as I could do in my younger days long ago. There is nothing worse than dragging Dead weight of large game for a long way with just a rope especially while trying to carry all your plunder you brought in with you. I bought this Dead Ringer Pro Deer Drag cause I liked the handle. I can squeeze in both fists into it and drag hog or deer to the point where I left my Game Cart. Buy a Game Cart as well. A good one. The Dead Ringer Pro Deer Drag rolls up neatly and fits into my hunting packs. Some other uses: You can loop the handle end back thru the loop end and use for lifting point for your game hoist back in your skinning shed or tree. One can also do the same looping to hang gear from the inside roof of a shooting house as hooking a carabiner to it and then hang your pack, coats whatever. Again the little things make the hunt. Get one.

Have gone thru several of the 1st edition Super Tac's for general use of any flashlight plus hunting at night. Thought I would try the newer XL edition. So far totally satisfied. For a hand held flashlight it is almost indestructible. Light projection is easily several hundred yards. I find no problem moving thru the different change modes and have my set for constant. In hunting situations most of my weapon platforms (bolt or AR types) all have picatinny rails on the handguards or on the scope itself. I use the Streamlight picatinny attachment made for this flashlight. It attaches easily onto the weapon and the XL into it. Now my weapon then has huge potential for several hundred yard shots at night. One must take off the little clip off side of flashlight to use in a picatinny system. The only thing that will eventually wear out is the rubber tail switch but that is after year and years of use. Buy one and Light up the night.

Best Hand Held Flash Light on the Planet
Written on Sep 29, 2018
I have used the Tac-C4 by Streamlight now for years since they first came out. I own 2. I also own 2 of the Streamlight Green C4 Hunting lights that QD-Quick Detach onto rail mounts. Through the years of use and abuse they are scratched, dinged, dropped, stepped on, banged, drenched and lost then found. But ALWAYS...THEY KEEP WORKING. The LED beam is incredible. I have used them in conjunction with the square shaped Streamlight weapon mount that attaches to any picatinny rail. Used on both AR, Bolt guns and Shotguns. The Streamlight weapon mount for this flashlight is idiot proof as you slide in the C4 light and the mount has a finger turning knob to tighten it in. Mount and light then it becomes QD-Quick Detach and can be moved from weapon to weapon or pocket. Aim thru scope or red dot or sight flick on this light and it lights up down range like a mortar pop flare! Projected beam length is Huge and am guessing but several hundred yards. Handheld for use around farm or house in blackouts is stellar. You can keep of detach spring loaded side keeper. Don't lend it out as they will sprout legs and not come back! Use Streamlight dedicated batteries and keep plenty as it does suck the power.

Use Streamlight in Streamlight

No brainer. I have used these CR123 batteries in Streamlight flashlights and hunting lights for years. Bench life is good to great depending on the flashlight or mode setting. I buy them by the bulk packs vs. the smaller size. When out hunting I always carry extras. For me they simply work every time.

Timney Triggers are Superb

Timney Triggers Remington 870 Trigger Fix
Installed the Timney Trigger Fix in a Remington 870 20 gauge Slug Gun. Watched several online videos on the "How To" of installing but the most helpful was the one on the Timney website. Total time on my amateur install efforts was about 30 minutes with very little time on the actual Timney Trigger fix but most of it reassembly the actual shotgun. Of the 3 sear springs I chose the lightest pull. Shooting Lightfield 3inch 20 gauge slugs off bench rest coupled with this Timney Trigger Fix puts saboted slugs in 2 inch group at 100 yards shot after shot. Much less trigger creep and pull efforts vs. the Remington factory trigger. Night and day difference. This will tighten your groups. Prediction is that Mr.Timney will turn Mr. Pork into Bacon this hunting season.

HME Products Game Hanging Gambrel and Hoist
I am almost 70 and partially blind and suffer from typical aging woes. I am NOT young anymore and cannot clean jerk some heavy hog or Bambi with or without a Gambrel up into a truck or UTV bed. I have several HME hoists. Some are designated to the skinning shed and others to vehicles. The latter I can find a limb and hoist the game up to the vehicle bed and lower it on same. In the shed the game is Easily moved up or down by one person for airing, cooling and eventual skinning. Economical and for the typical Deer or Hog or maybe a neighbor this HME product is the ticket. Wrap some reflective tape on it so it you leave it hanging you will not hit same with head. Use electrical tape and melt ends on all rope ends. Don't lend it out as it may not come back. Even the best people steal. This is not for farm animal processing. Frankly I would never use it for anything that looked over 400 pounds.

I have used Trail Marking Ribbon including the HME version for too many years to count. I have been thru cases of this stuff. Useful in marking day trails while scouting, to and from stand routes, running property section lines, blood trailing, flagging equipment or land areas needing attention. I have used so much of this stuff thru the year that the world is turning Orange. Beats being lost! Yes, I do use sometimes in combination with the HME trail marking glow trail pins. I am partially blind and prefer to not get lost. If on my family farm the tape stays up. But if used in State or Federal WMA hunts I put it in and take it out on way out on last afternoon of hunt.

Hme Products Metal Reflective Trail Tacks
I am partially blind..can only see partially with one eye. These HME Trail Marking Tacks WORK. I use White tacks alot on my large family farm to and from Game stands. At night if you hit them with white light it looks like a hot LZ! Even I can see them and I use mostly green headlamps and green flashlights. Loss of vision sucks and so does being Lost. I use the Orange Version Trail Marking Tacks when I go out of state to hunt on Federal or State WMA types and always retrieve them on way out so I do not let others know the the location of my honey hole plus to avoid getting a ticket from the Woods cops. The reason for the orange version is that many hunters use them but mostly white and if left there can cause confusion.

Solid Feeder. Much better than the old Eco-no Version. I run over 15 feeders on a Large mountainous farm covering thousands of acres and have used every kind of Moultrie. Metal spinner plate appears to be critter proof but time will only tell if tree rats attempt to eat thru plastic ring to get to plate. The Digital set up is excellent, easy to read and set up. I have only one eye that works so this is a must. The 6 feed times is a plus though I only use it set on 3 feeds per day at 3 seconds each. Buzz and the deer and turkeys come to breakfast, lunch and supper. I like the Quick Detach locking system for mounting. Heads above the old screw in versions. The feeder motor "could" burn out as it would occasionally on the Eco-no versions but on this one all continue to function day after day. Six volt batteries run for me two years. Do not run Corn Coat type powder as it can eventually jam the metal tower rod thus keeping the plate from spinning. I also attach the Moultrie Hog Light to the bottom of many of my feeders. Critters beware of the night! Great job Moultrie.

Another excellent design by Lancer which just makes the better mag! Runs super smooth in my La Rue PredatAR 556 and AAC SBR 300 Black Out. Shorter mag makes it easier to shoot off the bench but enough rounds for follow-up shots. Superior construction of mating metal to plastic but without that all metal clang sound.
