Purchased for Thunder 9 Compact; good, but there are some things to keep in mind
Written on May 19, 2016
These are solid sights at a good price, but the rear was incredibly loose and I had to Loctite it into place. It has not shifted any from holster wear or shooting since that. The dots are bright and easy to pick up, but when shooting, even at 25 yards, the sights when mounted on the Compact were aiming a bit high. Be sure to take this into account, but nonetheless buy with confidence.

Great clarity and brightness, but watch the battery life

I've had one of these for about two years now and have yet to be dissatisfied with this red dot. It is no Aimpoint, surely, but it is still a good purchase that will get you a good optic for the occasional-use rifle or even a duty weapon. I purchased one of these before the mount-included versions were available in my area, so I purchased an Alamo Four Star mount for it to cowitness with AR-15 iron sights. This combination is phenomenal. Battery life is not exactly impressive, and I've had a few instances at the range where I realized I accidentally left it on a few days before, so just be sure of your power settings.

Great price, but a royal pain in the neck to install

The sights themselves are amazing, with great clarity are brightness in the Tritium, not to mention they are very budget-friendly, being on the lower end of the spectrum of night sights. However, the sight housings are not very well machined and take some fitting to work into the LC's slide. Have some files or a Dremel ready.
Overall, though, these sights work great

Good for casual shooting, but not what I was looking for

I bought this optic with a 3-Gun rifle in mind, but unfortunately it did not satisfy me in that regard. The illumination is quickly washed out in bright daylight, which isn't an issue at 3 or 4 power, but at 1x magnification the reticle difficult to pick up when put against shadow (I had initially thought I had left the scope on and drained the battery, but it was fully functional when I brought the weapon home later that day). The eye relief of the optic is somewhat short, and point of impact shifts when you are not fully aligned with the scope (even by small amounts, which means you need to have really consistent cheek weld every time you raise the weapon to your eyes). This is a great optic for bench shooting and stressless shooting, so in that regard it is a good optic, but in an environment where you are very mobile and not operating under ideal circumstances, this scope is less than ideal.
