I have only fired 8 rounds and just at paper target to feel recoil and check accuracy at about 20 yards. Compared against target 112 grain round nose and Norma 124 grain JHP. First impression was the additional recoil was noticeable and expected over the other two rounds and accuracy was good. I consider myself a novice but it had the best of 3 round grouping followed by the Norma JHP which were also good and then followed by the target/practice rounds which my grouping was not as good. I do not fire the JHP rounds often as they were purchased for home defense.

I purchased this ammo specifically to use in sighting my BCA AR15 5.56 and its newly mounted Vortex scope. I am out of practice with my shooting skills so I bought what was on sale and it happened to be the X-Tac FMJ. I found that I was still able to shoot a fairly decent cluster of three and continued until the scope adjustment was complete. I then replaced my target and moved it to the 75yard marker (from the 50 Yard marker) and fired five groups of three. The results were good and I had 3 clusters with close grouping on the bullseye and two grouping that were not so good. I found that at that range , the X-Tac rounds performed well with no misfires and I even took a few shots at the fixed metal targets at 300 yards and hit them several times. I will watch for these X-tac 5.56 rounds to go on sale again and want to try some of their green tip rounds as well.

This is my second Osprey swivel Bipod with the Picatinny rail quick disconnect feature. I purchased this first time for my AR 15-22 and liked it so much I purchased a second one for my AR 15 5.56. I carry my rifles in a hard case so having a quick, no tools needed disconnect was very convenient and time saving. They are almost all aluminum, are sturdy and easy to adjust into many positions. I expect these will last a very long time based on how well and the materials used to make them. If any issues develop I will update this review if possible.

I most am most certainly not a gunsmith but am willing to learn and this simple kit put most of the tools I needed for my limited skillset in one simple kit. The plastic case and foam divider holds all tools neatly in place and useable. I have used the kit to install a new set of luminescent sights to replace the white dot factory sights. I had never done that before and the kit cost less than what I was quoted for a Gunshop to do, so I took the chance, read the instructions and watched a YouTube video. The change went flawlessly and I took it with me to the range to make adjustments as needed and now I can easily use my new sights with much better accuracy after a couple of tweak's to the sight. I am glad I bought this good quality set and the bonus is it will do sights on many different brands of handguns.

I ordered this Glock tool kit to install Iridium sights on my model 17. The instructions were easy to follow and although I have never done this before it was easy and came out well. Tools are of good quality and the price of the kit was actually lower than what the Gunshop was going to charge so that was even better. The sight installation part of this Glock kit is generally universal and can be used to install sights on other firearms.
