I wanted a lighter bullet weight than 230 gr Ball. I have great results with Hornady ammunition over the years. In particular I wanted for a Springfield Armory V10 and a Star PD both with shorter barrels than a std 1911. The shooting range opens after Memorial Day Weekend here at 8000 ft in the Colorado Rockies

Hornady has always been a superb product. I was a bit hesitant on these due the bullet shape but wanted a personal defense round withe deeper penetration and expansion than standard 230 gr Ball ammo. The range opens after Memorial Day Weekend here at 8000 ft in the Colorado Rockies. I will update performance then.

Federal Hydra-Shok has been excellent in revolvers in 357 Magnum. I purchased these to check reliability and accuracy in a number of 45 ACPs. I haven't been able to test yet as our shooting range here at 8000 ft in the Colorado Rockies isn't open until Memorial Day Weekend.

Was looking for a self defense round with good penetration and accuracy. I will testing in several Ruger revolvers, Smith & Wesson and a COP. I am waiting for the shooting range to open Memorial Day Weekend as it is still just beginning to be spring here at 8000 feet in the Rockies

Noreen receiver with fixed stock,Anderson M4 16" Carbine with Picatinny gas block. FAB Defense Meprolight flip up front and rear sights (backup sights) and DTA muzzlebrake (mid 80s vintage). I really like the P4 Sniper reticle. The quick detachable mount appears to hold zero after several removals, need to do more testing to feel confident in consistency
