Review of Armasight AIM PRO Advance Integrated Mount for 1x Night Vision Monoculars
Written on Jan 30, 2017
The AIM PRO I received was in great shape and functions well. It has turned my PVS 14 monocular into a night vision rile mounted optic.
However there is one major problem with this product that has to be addressed. In order to mount the PVS-14 to the Armasight AIM PRO you must have part integrated mount #62. Mount #62 is not supplied with the AIM PRO that I received from Optics Planet. The Optics Planets Web page does not recommend the need for this component either.
So after I received my new AIM PRO I had to scramble and locate mount #62. Lead time for this part at Optics Planet is 3 months! I looked all over the Web and found a single part (last one) available at the supplier Armasight; no one else had one. In my discussion with Armasight customer service they reported that this part is not in production anymore (obsolete), due to reliability. However they are working on a new design, but no release date was given.
In conclusion if you expect this to work out of the box make sure you have mount #62 and good luck finding one. I lost several weeks of usability, waiting for the mount #62 mount to arrive. I hope Armasight gets the production/reliability issues straightened out ASAP. I also hope Optics Planet can specify the need for a mount in order to meet the customers satisfaction.

OPMOD PVS-14 Gen 3 Alpha Night Vision Monocular
Written on Jan 17, 2017
This is my first purchase of night vision equipment. I am very pleased with the imaging it produces. It will be a great tool for night hog and predator hunting. It does contain two small black spots, which are common manufacturing defects, but they do not impede its performance. The head mount works, but is not very comfortable for me. My plan it use it as both a monocular on a more reliable helmet and as a weapons mount using Armasight AIM PRO Advance Integrated Mount.
