Trijicon Quality

Written on Jul 13, 2017

I have many Trijicon products and this scope keeps right with their know quality and durability. The field of view at 1x is awesome and has great eye relief. What's great is when you flip it all the way to 8x and the eye relief is almost the same so when you are going back and forth between magnification your not constantly repositioning your cheek weld. The glass is amazing, the redical is great but takes a little time to get use to as its a little busy compared to what I'm use to. My only complaints are the weight (little heavy) but is to be expected with what you are getting and my main complaint is I went with the green redical (as I perfre the green and use it on other optics like the ACOG & RMR) but it's not bright enough. I'm planning on sending this back to Trijicon in hopes they can adjust the brightness. Regardless because the redical is etched into the glass you can still see the redical clearly. This is just nitt picking.

Scar MREX rail

Written on Dec 17, 2016

The KDG MREX rail is a great upgrade for the Scar. I went with the full length version in M-Lok. The full length version provides adequate space for a Dbal In front of the front sight post. The fit and finish is perfect and absolutely love the ergonomics. The M-Lol provides great mounting options and the extended rail gives you plenty of room and gets your lights and lasers in front of your forehand.

Geissele Quality and reliability (like always)

Written on Dec 10, 2016

This is now my 5 Geissele trigger, it's safe to say that Im very pleased with their trigger and I trust their reliability. The Super SCAR trigger is amazing, great combination of speed and percision. I would put this trigger in the category of best 1st modification you can do to your SCAR. This Geissele Super SCAR trigger went into my SCAR Heavy (17S), this instantly helped me tighten up my groups and there nothing like getting 0.11-0.13 split times with a 7.62x51 (308) round. I highly recommend this product, you won't be disappointed.

Beautifully Engineered!

Written on Sep 14, 2016

I paired the Geissele Super Precision Scope Mount up with the Vortex HD Gen ll 1-6x24. The combination of these are robust and beautifully compliment each other. I have mounted this setup onto my SCAR 17 (in FDE). After getting the scope zeroed I completely removed the mount and remounted, it held zero perfectly. This mounted is extremely strong and should easily last a lifetime. The fit and finish is flawless. I when with the unit constructed from Alcoa 2099 aluminum, although it is lighter and stronger, it is completely over-kill but in the greatest way!!!

Aimpoint T-2 - solid and reliable optic

Written on Aug 19, 2016

This was my first product from Aimpoint, I mostly use Trijicon optics but I finally pulled the trigger on the T-2. I absolutely love this optic, it's very lite, the glass is beautiful and it all in a rock solid housing. This model comes with the caps which is a nice add on, the cap on the backside (toward shooter) has a clear lens so even when the caps are on you can see if your red dot is on and working. I highly recommend this optic, you will not be disappointed. Only problem is now I need more of them.

Surefire quality

Written on Apr 09, 2016

Just like all Surefire products, high quality. This is a great muzzle brake, it greatly reduced felt recoil and muzzle climb. This brake is on the louder side of other brakes I have used but worth the benefits it provides. If you like shooting fast, this is the brake for you.

Champion Trap Voice Release

Written on Aug 22, 2015

Very easy and quick install. I have my champion trap setup for being portable, this voice release (trigger system) makes my portable setup even more mobile. This eliminates the 50' peddle cord. Now I'm able to go out to the range or desert and I just leave the trap in the bed of the truck, turn on the voice release system, and have the capability to walk around and shoot from almost an angle without needing to move the entire trap thrower. I also like the fact I can add another trap thrower and be able to control both from the same control. Another nice feature is besides using your voice to trigger the trap thrower you can also use the large bottom on the control, I like using this feature when shooting with others, take turns randomly triggering the trap to keep each other on your toes and help those reaction times.

Great Optic and Great for SHTF prep

Written on Jul 29, 2015

This is now my third optic from Trijicon. Just like the others, this one exceeds my expectations. The glass is crystal clear, and no batteries to mess with or worry about. I went with the Dual Illuminated 12.9 Green Triangle, the reasoning for going with the larger MOA dot is because I'm using this on my Benelli M2 Tactical Shotgun, the larger MOA dot (triangle) allows for much quicker accusations. The reasoning behind the Triangle over the standard dot is the triangle still provides a way for more precise aiming by using the top point of the triangle, for example I zeroed with slugs using the point of the triangle and even through this triangle covers approximately 6" at 50yrds. I can still shoot a 2" grouping at 50yrds. (Which is pretty good for a tactical shotgun) because the tip of the triangle gives that smaller point of aim. Then when using bird or buck shot if you get that triangle anywhere on the target and your good to go. This optic has been extremely fun for trap shooting (almost to easy). As far as SHTF preparations is why I really like the dual illuminated, again no batteries to worry about, every time you pick it up its on and ready. I believe the fiber optic and the tritium should last for 15+ years. I highly recommend this RMR, they are costly but well worth it.
