slide was perfect/ broken recoil spring in the box

Love the slide very tight tolerance’s everything was top notch. I received a gen 5 recoil spring in the box that looked chewed up and broken at the top. Now I’m not sure if it was supposed to come with it or not I just used the OEM spring but still if I paid for it I would like for it to not be broken upon arrival.
