Works Perfectly

Written on Oct 08, 2024

This wrench was a little larger than I needed but that worked perfectly. Better too big than too small to fit and I don't want to buy a whole set. I just shoved a popsicle stick in the gap and it was just right. Since these are rarely used I will always find something I can use to shim it for a tighter fit and adjust to different size nuts.
I set my torque wrench for 50 ft/lb and it really did the job.

Excellent Red Dot for Pistol

Written on Jun 02, 2024

I got a great sale price on this that made it a no-brainer. I love Vortex quality and their excellent warranty. I bought this for a new Glock G40 MOS and it is perfect. I like a 5 or 6MOA dot on a pistol, it is quick to find and easy to use. It is very low profile and unobtrusive. Buttons on the side are easy to use. Five Stars!!

Excellent Mount for the money

Written on Mar 30, 2024

I am glad I found this item, it works as well as the expensive pieces but costs much less. It really does the job, I used the 30mm mounts and this one is flawless. Some others might be lighter (and less rugged) or may be more stylish but this one does all you need. I have others with the big names painted on them but they cost $80 or $100 and really aren't any better.
I really like that the rail mount is four flush torx screws, I don't like the type that only has a couple of big nuts that stick out. They give you the torx wrench and even include four spare screws in case you need them.

About a pound lighter, worth the price.

I've got a 1985 M77/22 that I bought when new and always wanted to improve the trigger. It wasn't bad, about 3.5 to 4 pounds let off that was fairly crisp. For the price I was happy to try this sear/spring kit.
I was concerned about the installation because they only give a typed sheet with no pics or diagrams but I followed exactly what was written and everything went together easily. They spend time explaining that you may have to file one part to made it fit and I did, but it is fairly easy to see where you have to file and it doesn't take long. The lowest part of the safety may need filing to get enough clearance for it to work properly. It is not hard and you don't have to disassemble anything to work on it, I used a flat needle file and it took about 10 minutes.
Mine dropped the let off down to between 2 and 2.5 pounds and that is great. Tiny bit of creep at the start but then a sharp break with very little pressure.
It is really a fantastic improvement and all I want or need. Since there is no expensive trigger available for this gun this little kit is enough to make a big difference.

Sturdy and Strong

Written on Mar 21, 2024

These are fairly heavy and strong and exactly what I needed for the 20+ ounce scope I bought for my AR varmint rifle. The mount I tried before this one was too thin and light and didn't seem strong enough.
This is a flawless mount and a steal at the price. Other name-brand mounts sell for $100 and up, these are much less than that.
I like that the base is attached with four torx screws instead of big exposed nuts like some do. Also, this is the only mount I've ever seen that gives you the torx wrench and also four extra screws in case one strips out. Very thoughtful.
This mount is so good I bought a spare for the next build.

Great Leupold Quality

Written on Jan 10, 2024

Very nice mount. Wanted a flat (non-elevated) mount for my 6.5 Grendel AR and this is perfect. Great price on sale, Leupold quality for less than other brands. Easy to mount, perfect fit, very strong and sturdy design and build quality. I prefer mounts that don't have big protruding nuts on the side and this one fit the bill perfectly. Multiple screws so this will never loosen or move.

Need T15 and T25 bits for mounting, not included.

Excellent magazine

Written on Oct 31, 2018

I prefer rifles with removable magazines and like to carry a second mag for my guns that use them. When hunting it's good to have a spare just in case something happens. I also often carry different ammo in the 2 mags for different conditions.
I bought the Rem 783 Walnut in 6.5 Creedmoor. These are strong mostly steel magazines that work perfectly, and they are much cheaper than some of the import brands that charge $50 or more for plastic mags.

Everything you need

Written on Apr 28, 2018

Great Kit, includes everything you need for a low price. Less than half the price of the brand-name stocks.

My lower came with an adjustable stock and carbine tube, spring and buffer. This kit has everything I needed to replace that with the full A2 stock and rifle length spring and buffer.

I expected the stock to be empty plastic but is strong and sturdy with a hard foam lining. The lining quiets the plastic and gives it a solid feel. There is a nice sized pocket under the trap door for accessories like tools for the scope mounts.
This assembly weighs about 5 ounces more than the adjustable stock that I replaced.

It's easy and quick to install (but you'll have to download the instructions if you need them). No special tools needed to install.

Best Deal in an armorer's wrench

Written on Apr 28, 2018

This wrench is surprisingly inexpensive but it's as good as you can get. I'm glad I bought it.

Heavy steel with a rugged coating. It fit my buffer tube nut and barrel perfectly and didn't even get a mark where I used it; it still looks brand new.

It's generic, the package is plain white with no brand name or anything. I bet that this wrench sells for much more when it's in a fancy box.
