I know there are new handguards with the latest great features and modern looks. But I don't need more features and don't even try to impress anyone by being up to the latest fashions. I simply want the most quality for my money and, for what I need, this handguard is perfect. It was easy to install and fit fine.

Very soft aluminum. The threads didn't hold up at all. There are better buffer tubes for not much more money.

I have had a Vortex Sparc 2 for quite a while. The Strike fire is quite similar in function but slightly better when it comes to target acquisition. But that comes with the price of being heavier and larger. I am okay with this purchase mainly because of price comparison. Not much on the market beats it without moving up another $50 or more. For my purposes on this particular firearm, it will do just fine for now.

I like to be able to get a firm hold on my charging handle and just can't do it with mil spec latches. This is definitely a good value to get the job done for me. But you might not like extended latches when carrying your rifle with a sling. They could poke you in the chest or back depending on how you carry. But, compared to similar latches, this one has an attractive price and works as intended. I have had the same latch on another rifle for a number of years so buying it again was an easy decision.

Aguila is not perfect but good performance in both rifles and handguns that I shoot. I don't expect match grade from bulk ammo but most brands will not perform well in every gun the way Aguila does.
