Green visible laser is far superior to my military issue red visible on my AN/PEQ-15 and has high and low power options. The IR pointer and illuminator, while not as powerful as the military issue, do not bloom at close range and are more than adequate. My only disappointment is the package did not include the blue safety Allen screw and wrench that the manual speaks of for blocking the non-eye safe settings. Additionally, there are two cable ports on the unit, and only one is used at a time. The unit did not come with a plug for the unused port to keep water and dirt out of the unit. I have addressed these discrepancies with both Optics Planet and Steiner and are awaiting a response.

Streamlight ProTac HL LED Flashlight

This is an awesome tactical handheld light for the dollar. Some might complain that the output is too much, but I want my handheld to literally be a weapon which cuts into those dark holes and totally takes away the bad guys vision.
The light comes with a pocket clip, as do most small Streamlights, but one thing it lacks is a way to attach a ring. There is a small contour in the top of the pocket clip which is probably intended for that purpose, but I found it too small to accommodate the usual grenade pin tactical ring.

This is a weapon light that is a weapon in and of itself. The 630 lumen output is stunning. I have had the opportunity to employ it on a felony traffic stop, and it was devastating to the suspect.
