I did a lot of research before this purchase, but really, it was a no brainer.. the price ($72, on sale/with coupon) was the lowest I found online or in person anywhere, free shipping.. Plus, when the coupon I tried to use wasn't allowed, they automatically found one that did work! I figured that the free shipping would take the estimated 7-10 days, but I had the boots within four days.

So.. about the boots. Made for rough terrain, which es exactly what I needed. I strap on my Stihl brush cutter and wade into the tall grass, on the rocky parts of our ranch on a regular basis. Rarely do I stand on level ground. The boots feel solid, but not heavy. It feels like the sole keeps you from rolling your ankle, too. I am 9 1/2 D, and these boots fit true to size for me. The only negatives I can think of, (and this is being picky), there's a little pressure from the laces on the upper shin, and if you tie the boots too tight, it is uncomfortable.. And, I get a tiny bit of rub, from time to time, on the heel of my right foot.. maybe that's my foot, though. And, the sole does pick up small gravel pieces, occasionally. I moved these boots right in to regular rotation with other work boots, they needed no break in time, in my opinion. I would recommend these boots, and feel like I got an excellent deal from Optics Planet.
