Was looking for an alternative to Harris, getting some weight reduction on the nose. Just not solid. Went to a Warne and very happy now.

I am a FFP maniac but was encouraged to take a look through this scope at a favorite hunting lodge in NE Ohio. Was impressed. Ordered one and put on my Weatherby Limited 300 Weatherby Mag. Have hunted with this now for a full season and really do like the optics. I run Trijicon ACOG's on most of my tacticals and know the brand and optics are above board. Most of my longer range rifles are set up with FFP, I have always preferred this. BUT this scope has changed my mind. AWESOME!

Bought the 20" barrel and finally ran some rounds through it today and MAAAAANNNN, what a difference! Put it on a AR-10 build I did a few years ago. I was just not pleased with performance of the stock 16" mid length gas barrel I had on the build and what it was doing at even 100 yards. I wanted this build to be a 500 yard gun. Was going to go bolt gun but decided to give this a try instead. I went from 2 MOA to 1/2 MOA's at 100 yards. Will stretch it out to 300 yards next time and see what we have. If pleased, will take it on out to 500..which is somewhat new to me for distance but always wanted a good platform for that range. Had a gun smith do the upper rebuild and he head spaced the barrel. I added a Lantec Dragon brake that takes a Omega suppressor just because they were on sale and I love me some Lantec brakes anyway.

These Proof Research barrels are amazing. Expensive....but hey, what isn't these days. Plus, the "keeping the barrel cool" CF wrap did the trick too. Buy this!

Shopped for the right optics for a while and ended up giving this one the thumbs up because of diameter of the body and research reviews on it. Price wasn't so much a part of it, but to get a great optics package for under $1,500 made me happy. Mounted it to finish a AR10 build. Clarity is amazing, range work is easy to zero in, no "floating" at all to bring it to zero. Was concerned about the reticle intel "clutter" but it is outstanding and doesn't cause any "peripheral eye gazing". Considering replacing my Leupold 3.5x10x50 on my .300Win Mag with this one too for heavy game hunting needing distance optics. Haven't tried in low light environment yet but I am thinking it will be fine. Great buy in my opinion.
