It was OK, but I really didn't care for the yellow plastic parts on the knife. This included the frame around the ferro rod, the whistle, and the frame that holds the sharpener. The yellow plastic looked a bit out of place on the crimson and black knife I had ordered and these parts made the knife seem gimmicky and cheap. I also didn't care for the partially serrated knife blade. I prefer a straight edge as they are easier to sharpen. In my opinion, the serrations aren't needed if you have a separate sawblade. When I received the knife, the box was a bit beat up, had already been opened, and the documentation was missing (appears someone else had returned the knife). So, I went ahead returned the Signal in exchange for a Wave Plus which has not arrived yet.
